Who we are
Akandem Farms Limited is a registered limited liability company based in Sandema in the Builsa North Municipality. The company is an Agribusiness firm focused on quality seed production, agricultural mechanization and sustainable agriculture. For over 12 years Akandem Farms has demonstrated successes in the expansion of agricultural services and input financing for rural farmers especially for women and young people. Akandem Farms is also a registered member of
National Seed Trade Association of Ghana (NASTAG), the Ghana Commodity Exchange (GCX) and the Soybeans Innovative Platform (IP) in Ghana.
In addition, Akandem Farms is legally registered with some regulatory bodies and alliances such as Plant Protection and Regulatory Services Directorate, Ghana Seed Inspection Division as a seed producer, Plant Protection and Regulatory Services Directorate Pesticide and Fertilizer Regulatory Division as a fertilizer distributor. With a competent and committed team of experts, the company leads the production of certified seed for various crops and vegetables in northern Ghana. We also partner with key state and private actors such as the Department of Agriculture, USAID, Savanah Agricultural Research Institute (SARI) etc.

Our Mission Statement
At Akandem Farms Limited, we are dedicated to enhancing agricultural productivity by providing quality seeds, mechanization services, and training on Good Agronomic Practices (GAPs) to smallholder and commercial farmers. We aim to support our farming communities through innovative solutions, fostering sustainable practices, reducing post-harvest losses, and creating market linkages that ensure the long-term success and profitability of farmers in Ghana.
Our Commitment
We are very much committed in contributing towards a sustainable farming practices geared towards building resilient food security system in Ghana by producing quality seeds of maize, soybeans, sorghum and rice at a low cost while promoting the adoption of improved variety of seeds that are drought resistant, protects our environment and high yielding which will increase the income and productivity levels of farmers.
